About this role
AdventHealth is hiring a full-time certified Medical Assistant for its outpatient clinic in Riverview, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation
- Prepare patients and equipment for treatment, initiate testing, and document results in the practice system
- Administer medications, collect labs, and assist with minor procedures while ensuring accurate same-day documentation
- Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions
- Maintain OSHA compliance, safety processes, and organizational policies
- Monitor and manage supply inventory and medical equipment functionality
### What we're looking for
- Active certification required: CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with medical terminology and chronic disease management concepts
- Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced clinical environment
