Certified Medical Assistant Primary Care+

AdventHealth is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for its Primary Care+ clinic in DeLand, Florida, operating on a full-time, three 12-hour shifts per week schedule with weekday and weekend availability required. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, screenings, history taking, and medication reconciliation for each patient visit - Administer medications, initiate diagnostic testing, and document results accurately in the designated EHR system - Assist providers with minor procedures and ensure complete, timely documentation at the point of care - Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions in a clear and accurate manner - Monitor and manage clinical supply inventory and verify that medical equipment is functioning properly - Travel as needed to support staffing needs across clinic locations ### What we're looking for - Active certification as CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required) - Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred) - Proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems - Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced outpatient environment ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hr (~$35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Up to $2,000 sign-on bonus (where applicable) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Primary Care+ in DeLand is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system with a mission centered on whole-person care — body, mind, and spirit.
