About this role

A Lead Pharmacy Technician role at AdventHealth Tampa, a multi-hospital health system based in Tampa, Florida. ### What you'll do - Coordinate daily workflow for the pharmacy technician team, including task prioritization, workload distribution, and staff coverage across all pharmacy practice areas - Oversee training programs, mentor pharmacy technicians, and support onboarding, competency validation, and peer development - Execute expert-level pharmacy technician duties across medication preparation, sterile and hazardous compounding, inventory management, and controlled substance oversight - Monitor task completion and accuracy, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, medication safety standards, and documentation requirements - Serve as liaison between the technician team and pharmacy leadership, escalating operational needs and supporting departmental goals - Lead quality improvement efforts, workflow audits, and perpetual accreditation readiness initiatives ### What we're looking for - Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) certification — required - Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification — required - Minimum 3 years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience — required - Minimum 3 years of practice experience within an integrated health care system of three or more hospitals — required - High school diploma or equivalent — required; bachelor's degree preferred - Demonstrated leadership in advanced pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and medication safety ### What's included - Pay range: $20.38–$32.60/hour (~$42,390–$67,808 annually) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Tampa is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, mission-driven not-for-profit health system operating more than 50 hospitals across multiple states.
