About this role

A Certified Medical Assistant is needed for a primary care clinic at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Medical Group in Lombard, Illinois. ### What you'll do - Prepare patients and equipment for treatment and initiate clinical testing, documenting results in the practice's designated system. - Maintain OSHA regulatory compliance and follow all office safety processes and policies. - Support efficient clinic flow across a busy Monday–Friday schedule with extended weekday hours. - Travel as needed to support staffing needs at additional clinic locations. - Stay current on all organizational policies, procedures, and annual clinical competency requirements. - Apply chronic disease management knowledge and patient advocacy skills to navigate complex care situations. ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required). - Current BLS/CPR certification. - High school diploma or equivalent. - 1+ year of related medical assistant work experience (preferred). - Working knowledge of medical terminology, chronic disease management, and healthcare operations. - Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-stress clinical environments. ### What's included - Pay range: $18.51–$29.62/hr (~$38,501–$61,609 annualized). - Up to $3,000 sign-on bonus. - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one. - Paid time off from day one. - 403(b) retirement plan. - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - Mental health resources, well-being programs, and pet benefits. ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Medical Group operates a primary care clinic at 2050 South Finley Road in Lombard, IL, serving patients Monday through Friday with extended evening hours.
