AdventHealth Daytona Beach is hiring a full-time Clinical Documentation Integrity Advanced Practice Liaison to support accurate, complete clinical documentation across its acute care hospital in Daytona Beach, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Review medical records to assess accuracy and completeness of clinical documentation and diagnosis/procedure codes
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to clarify and improve documentation
- Identify documentation improvement opportunities and deliver real-time feedback to the patient care team
- Provide ongoing education and training on documentation guidelines, coding standards, and regulatory requirements
- Analyze documentation trend data to support quality improvement initiatives
- Monitor compliance with CMS and organizational documentation standards
### What we're looking for
- Active RN license in Florida; BSN required, MSN preferred
- Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) credential required
- 5+ years of acute clinical experience and 3+ years in clinical documentation improvement
- Advanced knowledge of pathophysiology, disease processes, and treatment protocols
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with Epic, Iodine, or Retrospect preferred
- Coding background and familiarity with CMS programs preferred
