A full-time Cook position at AdventHealth Lenexa City Center supports patient, retail, and catering food service operations at this hospital campus in Lenexa, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Prepare patient, retail, and catering meals following culinary production records, including short-order and batch cooking to meet quality and temperature standards - Execute advance prep tasks by reviewing pull sheets and organizing ingredients for upcoming service periods and high-volume production - Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment and record equipment temperatures in accordance with health and regulatory requirements - Manage inventory by sorting, labeling, dating, and rotating stock to support food safety and minimize waste - Collaborate with managers and team members to communicate operational needs and support efficient food service delivery ### What we're looking for - 1+ year of foodservice experience in a high-volume culinary production environment (preferred) - Demonstrated knowledge of cooking methods, recipe execution, and sanitary work procedures - Ability to cook precisely and efficiently, making decisions and multitasking under pressure - Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) - Strong organizational and oral communication skills - Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime ### What's included - Pay range: $16.92–$27.08/hour ($35,194–$56,326 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Whole-person well-being and mental health resources ### About the practice AdventHealth Lenexa City Center is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, nonprofit health system operating across the United States with a mission centered on whole-person care — body, mind, and spirit.
