About this role
A full-time Cook position at AdventHealth Lenexa City Center supports patient, retail, and catering food service operations at this hospital campus in Lenexa, Kansas.
### What you'll do
- Prepare patient, retail, and catering meals following culinary production records, including short-order and batch cooking to meet quality and temperature standards
- Execute advance prep tasks by reviewing pull sheets and organizing ingredients for upcoming service periods and high-volume production
- Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment and record equipment temperatures in accordance with health and regulatory requirements
- Manage inventory by sorting, labeling, dating, and rotating stock to support food safety and minimize waste
- Collaborate with managers and team members to communicate operational needs and support efficient food service delivery
### What we're looking for
- 1+ year of foodservice experience in a high-volume culinary production environment (preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of cooking methods, recipe execution, and sanitary work procedures
- Ability to cook precisely and efficiently, making decisions and multitasking under pressure
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational and oral communication skills
- Flexibility in scheduling, including availability for weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime
