About this role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Certified Medical Assistant for a primary care clinic located in Ocala, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation - Administer medications, initiate testing, and document results in the practice management system - Assist providers with minor procedures and ensure accurate same-day documentation - Educate patients on tests, medications, and diet with clear, accurate instructions - Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and medical equipment - Support clinic operations and travel as needed to fulfill staffing requirements across locations ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (required) - Current BLS/CPR certification (required) - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred) - Working knowledge of medical terminology and chronic disease management - Demonstrated computer proficiency and ability to work independently within certification scope ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hour (~$35,589–$56,950 annually) - Sign-on bonus up to $3,000 (where applicable) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Pet benefits and whole-person well-being and mental health resources ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states, with a mission centered on whole-person care — body, mind, and spirit.
