Certified Medical Assistant

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Certified Medical Assistant at its outpatient clinic at 8315 Red Bug Lake Road in Oviedo, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation - Prepare patients and equipment for treatment, initiate testing, and document results in the practice system - Administer medications, assist with minor procedures, and support closure of care gaps during office visits - Educate patients on tests, medications, and diet with clear and accurate instructions - Maintain OSHA compliance, safety processes, and inventory of supplies and medical equipment - Travel as needed to support staffing needs across clinic locations ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related medical assisting experience (preferred) - Proficiency with medical terminology and chronic disease management concepts - Strong computer skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hour ($35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states, with a strong presence throughout Central Florida.
