About this role
A part-time weekend Registered Nurse role in the Outpatient Infusion unit at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
- Develop, implement, and regularly revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and ensure effective communication.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- Oncology Nurse Society (ONS) certification preferred for infusion-related competency.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills with ability to revise care plans based on patient outcomes.
