About this role
A Certified Medical Assistant supports daily clinical operations at AdventHealth's Turtle Creek Center outpatient clinic in Asheville, North Carolina.
### What you'll do
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, document visit reasons, patient history, and allergies per nursing protocols
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures while maintaining open communication for quality care
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens; audit ordered tests to ensure timely receipt and follow-up of results
- Monitor physician schedules and coordinate patient flow to ensure timely visits
- Serve as point of contact for daily clinic operations, assessing and resolving issues or escalating as needed
- Conduct training sessions, review patient care protocols, and ensure compliance with infection prevention guidelines
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred)
- Proficiency in vital signs, specimen collection, and body substance isolation
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills (preferred)
### What's included
- Pay range: $16.42–$26.27/hr ($34,154–$54,642 annualized)

AdventHealth operates this outpatient clinic at 15 Turtle Creek Dr., Asheville, NC, providing primary and specialty ambulatory care on a Monday–Thursday 8 am–5 pm, Friday 8 am–1 pm schedule.
