About this role
UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician Specialist at its Bolingbrook or Glendale Heights, Illinois hospital campus.
### What you'll do
- Maintain proficiency across all Pharmacy Tech IV functions, providing coverage in core and advanced practice areas to support staffing and service goals.
- Serve as the recognized subject matter expert in a designated specialty area such as ADC systems, cleanroom/compounding, diversion prevention, informatics, investigational drugs, or medication history.
- Execute expert-level pharmacy technician duties with mastery across all core and advanced workflows.
- Resolve complex issues and provide technical support within the assigned specialty area.
- Identify, follow up on, and resolve medication-related discrepancies under pharmacist supervision.
### What we're looking for
- Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) — required.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) — required.
- 3+ years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience with demonstrated expertise in a targeted specialty practice area.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or vocational pharmacy technician training program preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work constructively under direct pharmacist supervision.
