About this role
AdventHealth Palm Coast is hiring a full-time night-shift Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Palm Coast, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, and sociocultural factors and develop individualized care plans accordingly.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring patients for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies to support understanding and compliance.
- Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and maintain clear communication.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
- Respond to code situations promptly, providing stabilizing interventions and supervising delegated care across the healthcare team.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).
- EKG interpretation skills per unit requirements.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking abilities in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
