About this role
AdventHealth Porter is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for outpatient clinic locations in Denver, Colorado, supporting specialties including neurosurgery, transplant, gynecology, and primary care.
### What you'll do
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, document visit reasons, patient history, and allergies per nursing protocols
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures while maintaining clear communication for quality care
- Administer medications independently and maintain competency through evaluations
- Audit ordered tests to ensure timely receipt and follow-up of results
- Manage nursing supplies and equipment, reporting maintenance needs to leadership
- Serve as the daily point of contact for clinical operations, delegating duties and resolving front-line issues
### What we're looking for
- Active national CMA certification: CMA (AAMA), CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- 2+ years of related medical assistant experience (or completion of AHMG MA training/apprenticeship program)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in vital signs, specimen collection, and body substance isolation
- Strong organizational and phone etiquette skills preferred
