About this role

AdventHealth Central Texas is hiring a full-time Med-Surg RN for day shift (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) at its Killeen, Texas hospital. ### What you'll do - Perform comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors. - Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans based on patient needs and established standards of care. - Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions. - Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies to support compliance and recovery. - Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care. - Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (required). - Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred). - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required). - At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred). - EKG competency as required by unit-specific credential grid. - Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and team-oriented communication skills. ### What's included - Pay range: $33.28–$61.91/hour ($69,222–$128,773 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective day one. - Paid time off beginning day one. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - Mental health resources, whole-person well-being programs, and pet benefits. ### About the practice AdventHealth Central Texas is located at 2201 S.
