About this role
AdventHealth Palm Coast is hiring a full-time Float Pool Registered Nurse for night shift at its hospital in Palm Coast, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform and document initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications accurately as ordered and monitor patient responses, adjusting interventions as needed.
- Float across appropriate inpatient units within scope, skill, and credentials to support staffing needs.
- Supervise and guide nursing personnel to ensure safe, therapeutic, and quality patient care.
- Assist physicians with bedside procedures and prepare patients for tests, procedures, and surgeries.
- Respond to emergencies by providing necessary interventions and coordinating with the healthcare team to stabilize patients.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- 1+ year of acute care hospital experience preferred.
- Proficiency with clinical equipment including IV insertion, central lines, pulse oximetry, NG tubes, Foley catheters, chest tubes, hemodynamic monitoring, and electronic medical records.
- EKG interpretation competency and strong critical-thinking skills in high-acuity clinical situations.
