About this role

AdventHealth Central Texas is hiring a full-time Med-Surg RN for day shift (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) at its Killeen, Texas campus. ### What you'll do - Conduct comprehensive assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual factors for each patient. - Develop, implement, and regularly revise individualized care plans aligned with standards of care. - Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions. - Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies. - Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate care and maintain effective communication across the care team. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas (required). - Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred). - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required). - At least 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred). - EKG interpretation skills per unit-specific requirements. - Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking abilities in a fast-paced inpatient environment. ### What's included - Pay range: $33.28–$61.91/hour ($69,222–$128,773 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective day one. - Paid time off starting day one. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Four weeks of fully paid parental leave. - Mental health resources, whole-person well-being support, and pet benefits. ### About the practice AdventHealth Central Texas is part of the AdventHealth system, a faith-based, mission-driven health network serving communities across the country.
