About this role
A Nursing Professional Development Practitioner II supports the Progressive Care Service Line at AdventHealth Zephyrhills in Zephyrhills, Florida, designing and delivering education programs that advance nursing competency and career growth.
### What you'll do
- Design curricula, develop programs of study, and evaluate learning outcomes for nursing staff across all career stages.
- Coordinate new-staff orientation, including agency personnel, integrating adult learning principles throughout.
- Assess learning needs of individual nurses and students, identifying strengths and development opportunities.
- Track educational offerings and report data to unit leadership to inform staffing and competency decisions.
- Support bedside nurses through the Professional Enhancement Program (PEP) and participate in nursing residency programs as assigned.
- Evaluate educational program effectiveness and revise content and teaching strategies based on learner feedback and outcomes.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (required); Master of Science in Nursing (preferred).
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required); NRP, PALS, and NPD-BC (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of education experience in an acute care or academic setting (required).
- 5+ years of nursing experience and/or nursing education experience (preferred).
- Background in nursing research and familiarity with database management systems.
