A Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner at AdventHealth Palm Coast supports clinical education, competency validation, and professional growth for nursing staff at the Palm Coast, Florida hospital.
### What you'll do
- Design, implement, and coordinate unit-based orientation programs using ANPD standards and the NPD Practice Model for new nurses and ancillary staff.
- Develop and manage competency validation activities, including coaching, simulation, gap analysis, and objective/subjective performance assessment.
- Create evidence-based continuing education programs rooted in adult learning principles to address identified practice gaps and regulatory requirements.
- Support clinical inquiry, evidence-based practice projects, and quality improvement initiatives using the PDSA framework.
- Collaborate with academic partners to facilitate student placements and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Assist nurses with professional role development, preceptor program support, and succession planning.
### What we're looking for
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or healthcare-related field preferred.
- Active RN licensure with 2+ years of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Knowledge of ANA/ANPD scope and standards for Nursing Professional Development.
- Proficiency in word processing, data management, and presentation applications.
- Experience as a preceptor and/or previous formal or informal teaching experience preferred.
- Familiarity with applicable regulatory standards (CMS, OSHA) preferred.
