About this role
A Certified Medical Assistant joins AdventHealth's practice-based clinic team in Overland Park, Kansas, supporting day-to-day patient care operations on a Monday–Friday day schedule.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, medication reconciliation, and care-gap closure
- Prepare patients and equipment for treatment, initiate testing, and document results in the designated EHR system
- Assist with minor procedures, administer medications, and ensure accurate point-of-service documentation
- Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions with clear and accurate communication
- Maintain OSHA compliance, safety processes, and confidentiality of patient and employee information
- Monitor and manage supply inventory and medical equipment functionality across the clinic
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical terminology, chronic disease management, and patient advocacy
- Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced environment
- 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred)

- Hourly pay range: $17.52–$28.04 ($36,442–$58,323 annualized)
