About this role
AdventHealth Lake Nona is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Medical Progressive Care Unit (PCU), working day shift at its Orlando, Florida campus.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
- Develop, implement, and regularly revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care.
- Apply EKG interpretation skills and advanced life support competencies as required by unit protocols.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications (required).
- At least 1 year of acute care hospital experience (preferred).
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills for a fast-paced PCU environment.
- Proficiency in EKG interpretation and Microsoft Windows-based clinical systems.
