Medical Assistant - Rad Onc PRN

A PRN Medical Assistant supports daily clinical operations in the Radiation Oncology clinic at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach, Florida. ### What you'll do - Room patients, obtain vital signs, document visit reasons, patient history, and allergies per nursing protocols - Assist physicians with examinations and procedures while maintaining open communication for quality care - Collect and prepare laboratory specimens following infection prevention guidelines - Monitor supply levels and equipment functionality, reporting needs to leadership - Audit ordered tests to ensure timely receipt and follow-up of results - Serve as daily point of contact for clinic operations, assessing and resolving issues or escalating as needed ### What we're looking for - Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred) - Proficiency in vital signs, body substance isolation, and specimen collection - Bilingual English/Spanish a plus ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $17.11–$27.38 (approximately $35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Day shifts only, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM - No weekends, no holidays - PRN role; hours vary by week and position is not benefits-eligible ### About the practice AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach is a community hospital and outpatient campus located in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, part of the AdventHealth system.
