Certified Medical Assistant Practice Based

A Certified Medical Assistant at AdventHealth supports outpatient clinic operations at the Medical Park Drive location in Tampa, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation - Administer medications, collect labs, initiate testing, and document results in the designated EHR system - Assist with minor procedures and ensure accurate, timely documentation at the point of care - Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions clearly and accurately - Maintain OSHA compliance, safety processes, and office regulatory standards - Monitor inventory and ensure medical supplies and equipment are adequately stocked and functional ### What we're looking for - Active CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - Knowledge of medical terminology and chronic disease management - 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred) - Proficiency with computers and EHR systems; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hr ($35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of fully paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, nonprofit health system operating more than 50 hospital campuses across the United States.
