Certified Medical Assistant

A Certified Medical Assistant supports outpatient clinic operations at AdventHealth in Kansas City, Kansas. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation - Assist with minor procedures, document results, and close care gaps at the time of service - Administer medications and educate patients on tests, medications, and diet instructions - Initiate and document diagnostic testing, ensuring accurate real-time entry into the practice system - Monitor and manage supply inventory and confirm medical equipment is functioning properly - Travel as needed to support staffing needs across clinic locations ### What we're looking for - Active certification: CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required) - Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred) - Working knowledge of medical terminology and chronic disease management - Proficiency with computer systems and electronic health records ### What's included - Pay range: $17.52–$28.04/hr ($36,442–$58,323 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of fully paid parental leave - Pet benefits and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system with a broad outpatient clinic network.
