About this role
AdventHealth Medical Group Radiation Oncology in Goldsboro, NC is hiring a full-time Radiation Therapist to deliver precision radiation treatments at their outpatient cancer care clinic on McLamb Place.
### What you'll do
- Administer prescribed radiation treatments using linear accelerators, verifying patient positioning, field orientation, prescription parameters, and monitor units before each session
- Perform morning Quality Assurance checks on treatment units and report equipment malfunctions immediately per physics policy
- Conduct all aspects of CT Simulation, including administering contrast agents under physician or NPP direction
- Document treatment information accurately in the electronic health record and record-and-verify system, including 2D treatment calculations for after-hours on-call coverage
- Clinically observe patient reactions during treatment, assess patient needs, and escalate concerns to the chief therapist or managing physician
- Support student education experiences aligned with accredited curriculum requirements
### What we're looking for
- Active ARRT registration in Radiation Therapy — R.T.(T)(ARRT) required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Associate's degree from an accredited Radiation Therapy program required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1+ year of radiation therapy experience preferred
- Proficiency with linear accelerators, treatment planning simulators, EHR systems, and record-and-verify platforms
- Working knowledge of radiobiology, radiation safety (ALARA principles), anatomical localization, and dose to critical structures

- Pay range: $30.28–$56.31/hour (~$62,982–$117,125 annualized)
