PRN Float Pool Nights RN position at AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach, a community hospital located in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform and document initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications accurately as ordered, monitoring patient responses and adjusting interventions as needed.
- Supervise and guide nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, quality patient care in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Assist physicians with bedside procedures and prepare patients for tests, procedures, and surgeries.
- Monitor lab work for trends and report abnormal results; respond to emergencies by coordinating with the healthcare team to stabilize patients.
- Float to appropriate departments within scope, skill/ability, and credentials across night-shift hours.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida RN license (required); BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital nursing experience.
- Proficiency with IV insertion, central lines, Foley, chest tubes, NG tubes, hemodynamic monitoring, and electronic medical records (Epic/Pyxis).
- EKG interpretation competency; critical thinking and independent clinical judgment in high-acuity situations.
- Additional certifications (OCN, TNCC, NIHSS, NRP, CCNS, ENPC, or similar) preferred depending on unit assignment.
### What's included
- Hourly pay range: $32.76–$57.47 (annualized approximately $68,141–$119,538 at 2,080 hours).
- PRN/per-diem schedule with night-shift hours.
