About this role
A full-time night-shift Registered Nurse position on the Med-Surg Medical 2 unit at AdventHealth Heart of Florida in Davenport, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, and spiritual factors.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring for adverse reactions and documenting outcomes accurately.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care strategies to support understanding and compliance.
- Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate patient care and ensure effective team communication.
- Respond to code situations promptly, providing stabilizing interventions and supervising delegated care across the healthcare team.
### What we're looking for
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida.
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience preferred.
- EKG competency per unit requirements.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and critical-thinking skills with proficiency in Windows-based computer systems.
