About this role
A Certified Medical Assistant joins AdventHealth's primary care medical office team in DeLand, Florida, delivering front-to-back clinical support across all patient visits.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation
- Prepare patients and equipment for treatment, initiate testing, and document results in the practice system
- Administer medications, coordinate lab work, and assist with minor procedures
- Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions with clear, accurate guidance
- Close care gaps and support chronic disease management throughout the visit cycle
- Travel as needed to support staffing across clinic locations
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as a CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of related clinical work experience (preferred)
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and chronic disease management
- Proficiency with electronic health records and general computer systems
### What's included
- Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hr ($35,589–$56,950 annualized)
