About this role

AdventHealth Lake Nona is hiring a full-time Assistant Nurse Manager for its Med/Surg Telemetry unit on the night shift in Orlando, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform and oversee venous access procedures and infusion therapy within RN scope, adjusting care plans based on patient response. - Monitor nursing staff performance, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to maintain clinical and professional standards. - Lead unit-level quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data and implementing strategies to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency. - Resolve staff conflicts using mediation techniques to sustain a cohesive, positive work environment. - Mentor and precept new staff with hands-on training and structured feedback to support professional development. - Ensure compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policies to uphold patient safety standards. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida — required. - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification — required. - Associate's Degree in Nursing — required; BSN preferred. - 1+ year of charge nurse or relevant nursing leadership experience — preferred. - 1+ year of acute care nursing experience — preferred. - Strong critical thinking, EHR proficiency, and demonstrated leadership skills in a unit-based setting. ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $33.99–$63.22 (approximately $70,699–$131,498 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective day one. - Paid time off from day one plus four weeks of fully paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support programs. ### About the practice AdventHealth Lake Nona is part of AdventHealth's expanding Central Florida network, with a new 60-acre health and wellness campus slated to open in late 2026.
