Pharmacy Technician

A full-time Pharmacy Technician role at AdventHealth Gordon in Calhoun, Georgia, supporting advanced hospital pharmacy operations across dispensing, sterile compounding, inventory management, and quality improvement. ### What you'll do - Prepare and dispense patient-specific medication doses, verifying drug, dose, dosage form, expiration dating, and barcode accuracy - Compound and manage complex sterile preparations — including chemotherapy and hazardous formulations — following USP 795, 797, and 800 guidelines - Lead and participate in compliance audits, medication-use process improvement initiatives, and regulatory inspection readiness - Manage controlled substance audits, reconciliation, and diversion prevention; conduct advanced inventory operations including ordering, stocking, and perpetual counts - Troubleshoot and optimize pharmacy automation systems, ADCs, and software platforms; support system upgrades and staff training - Mentor pharmacy technicians and support onboarding, competency validation, and peer development ### What we're looking for - Registered Pharmacy Technician (RPhT) licensure required - 1+ years of contemporary hospital, retail, or ambulatory pharmacy experience - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication dispensing workflows, and inventory management - Proficiency in aseptic technique, hazardous drug compounding, and USP 795/797/800 standards preferred - Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office; familiarity with hospital pharmacy automation preferred ### What's included - Pay range: $17.34–$27.74/hour ($36,067–$57,699 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Career development resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Gordon is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states.
