About this role

A Certified Medical Assistant joins AdventHealth's outpatient clinic team at 5701 State Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas, delivering direct patient support across the full visit cycle. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, medication reconciliation, and care-gap closure. - Assist with minor procedures, initiate diagnostic testing, and document results accurately at the time of service. - Administer medications and educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions. - Maintain OSHA compliance, safety protocols, and organizational policy adherence. - Monitor inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and properly functioning medical equipment. - Travel as needed to support staffing needs across clinic locations. ### What we're looking for - Active medical assistant certification: CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA required. - Current BLS/CPR certification required. - High school diploma or equivalent required. - 1+ year of related clinical work experience preferred. - Proficiency in medical terminology and chronic disease management concepts. - Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced environment. ### What's included - Pay range: $17.52–$28.04/hour (approximately $36,442–$58,323 annually). - Sign-on bonus up to $10,000. - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off from Day One; 4 weeks 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm (days only). ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating outpatient clinics and hospitals across multiple states.
