About this role

A Patient Care Technician (Nights) on the Med/Surg Medical unit at AdventHealth Tampa supports bedside care delivery under the direction of registered nurses at the Tampa, Florida campus. ### What you'll do - Perform treatments according to policy and procedure, adapting care to patient age, mobility, acuity, and culture - Assist in delivering patient care as part of the nursing team, including obtaining nursing history and reporting abnormalities to the RN - Document and report all procedures in accordance with department policy - Respond appropriately during clinical emergencies and follow prescribed isolation and infection-control guidelines - Maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff across the night shift - Participate in performance improvement activities and support quality standards and initiatives ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent (required) - Active BLS/CPR certification (required) - One of the following credentials: CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT (required) - 1+ year of applicable PCT experience (preferred) - Previous bedside patient care experience in an acute care unit, unit secretary role, monitor technician role, or equivalent medical setting (preferred) ### What's included - Pay range: $15.87–$25.38/hr ($33,010–$52,790 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off beginning Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice AdventHealth Tampa is part of AdventHealth, a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states with a mission centered on whole-person care.
