About this role

A PRN Radiation Therapist role at AdventHealth Tampa, located in Tampa, Florida, delivering radiation treatments under the direction of Radiation Oncologists in a faith-based health system. ### What you'll do - Evaluate prescribed imaging and document treatment information accurately in the electronic patient record using the record and verify system. - Review all new patient starts for consistency, verifying positioning, field orientation, prescription parameters, doses, treatment accessories, and monitor units. - Perform morning Quality Assurance on treatment units, confirming equipment operates per physics policy and escalating malfunctions promptly. - Participate in after-hours on-call coverage, perform 2D treatment calculations, and manage treatment delivery with minimal supervision. - Assist with department supply maintenance and provide supervised clinical education experiences for radiation therapy students. ### What we're looking for - Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiation Therapy program (required). - Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) or Registered Technologist in Radiography R.T.(R)(ARRT) (required). - Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required). - Proficiency in Electronic Health Records and record-and-verify systems. - Knowledge of anatomical structures for localization and technical skill to execute treatment plans. - One or more years of radiation therapy experience (preferred). ### What's included - Hourly pay range of $31.55–$58.69 (annualized approximately $65,624–$122,075 based on 2,080 hours). - PRN/per-diem scheduling with day shifts. ### About the practice AdventHealth Tampa is part of AdventHealth, a large faith-based not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states.
