About this role

A Certified Medical Assistant joins AdventHealth's practice-based clinic team at the SM Plaza Professional Building in Leavenworth, Kansas, delivering direct patient support across the full office visit lifecycle. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation per established protocols - Assist with minor procedures, document results at time of service, and initiate diagnostic testing - Administer medications, collect labs, and close care gaps during patient visits - Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions with clear, accurate communication - Maintain OSHA compliance, safety processes, and inventory of supplies and medical equipment - Travel as needed to support staffing and operational needs across clinic locations ### What we're looking for - Active certification as CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, CMAC, or NRCMA (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred) - Proficiency in medical terminology and chronic disease management concepts - Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced clinical environment ### What's included - Pay range: $17.52–$28.04/hr (~$36,442–$58,323 annualized) - Sign-on bonus up to $10,000 - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from day one - Paid time off from day one plus 4 weeks 100% paid parental leave - 403(b) retirement plan - Career development and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, mission-driven health system operating outpatient clinics and hospitals across multiple states, with a focus on whole-person care in body, mind, and spirit.
