About this role
AdventHealth South Orlando is hiring a full-time, day-shift Registered Nurse for its Multisystem Progressive Care Unit (1MSU) — a blended Med-Tele and PCU unit located at 601 E. Rollins St., Orlando, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual factors for a caseload of 4–5 patients per shift.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans in collaboration with hospitalist and psychiatric teams.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitoring for adverse reactions and documenting outcomes in the medical record.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies to support compliance and recovery.
- Supervise and delegate care to behavioral health techs and patient care technicians to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Respond promptly to code situations, providing stabilizing interventions and coordinating with the multidisciplinary team.
### What we're looking for
- Active Florida RN license (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required).
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience (preferred).
- EKG competency as applicable to unit requirements.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills with ability to revise care plans based on patient outcomes.
