About this role
A Certified Medical Assistant supports outpatient clinic operations at AdventHealth in Winter Haven, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation
- Administer medications, collect labs, initiate diagnostic testing, and document results in the designated EHR
- Assist providers with minor procedures and ensure accurate point-of-service documentation
- Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions
- Maintain OSHA compliance, manage inventory, and ensure medical equipment is functional
- Travel to additional clinic sites as needed to support staffing and operational continuity
### What we're looking for
- Active CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification (one required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of medical assistant or related clinical experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with medical terminology, chronic disease management concepts, and EHR systems
- Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced clinical environment
