About this role
A Certified Medical Assistant supports primary care clinic operations at AdventHealth in Tampa, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation
- Administer medications, initiate diagnostic testing, and document results in the EMR at time of service
- Assist providers with minor procedures and ensure accurate same-day documentation
- Educate patients on tests, medications, and diet with clear, accurate instructions
- Monitor inventory and maintain functioning medical equipment and adequate supplies
- Maintain OSHA compliance, patient confidentiality, and organizational policy standards
### What we're looking for
- Active CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1+ year of medical assistant or related clinical experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with medical terminology, chronic disease management concepts, and EMR systems
- Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced outpatient environment

AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating primary care and multispecialty clinics across Florida and nationally. This role is based at the Landmark Office Center clinic on N Dale Mabry Hwy in Tampa, serving an established outpatient primary care patient panel. The clinic operates Monday through Friday on day shifts, providing a consistent schedule for team members.
