About this role
A Certified Medical Assistant joins AdventHealth's practice-based outpatient clinic team in Riverview, Florida, delivering direct patient care and supporting efficient office operations.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, medication reconciliation, and care-gap closure
- Assist with minor procedures, document results in the EHR at the time of service, and initiate diagnostic testing
- Administer medications and educate patients on tests, medications, and diet
- Maintain OSHA compliance, safety processes, and organizational policy adherence
- Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and medical equipment
- Travel as needed across clinic locations to support staffing needs
### What we're looking for
- Active CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification (one required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of medical assistant or related clinical experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with medical terminology, chronic disease management concepts, and EHR/computer systems
- Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced environment

- Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hr ($35,589–$56,950 annualized)
