About this role

A contract PRN day-shift RN is needed for the Medical/Surgical Observation unit at AdventHealth Huguley Memorial Medical Center in Burleson, Texas. ### What you'll do - Perform and document initial and ongoing patient assessments to evaluate condition and care needs on a Med/Surg Observation unit. - Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. - Administer medications accurately, monitor patient responses, and adjust interventions as ordered. - Supervise and guide nursing personnel to ensure safe, therapeutic, policy-compliant patient care. - Assist physicians with bedside procedures and prepare patients for tests, procedures, and surgeries. - Respond to emergencies, provide stabilizing interventions, and coordinate with the healthcare team. ### What we're looking for - Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Texas (required). - Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. - Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital nursing experience. - Current BLS/CPR certification (required). - Proficiency with IV insertion, central lines, pulse oximetry, NG tubes, Foley catheters, chest tubes, hemodynamic monitoring, and electronic medical records (Epic/Pyxis). - EKG interpretation skills; ability to float to appropriate departments within scope and credentials. ### What's included - Pay range: $33.65–$62.59/hour (approximately $69,992–$130,187 annualized at 2,080 hours). - PRN/per-diem scheduling with day-shift availability. - Mission-driven work environment within the AdventHealth faith-based health system. ### About the practice AdventHealth Huguley Memorial Medical Center is a full-service acute care hospital located in Burleson, Texas, part of the AdventHealth system — one of the largest faith-based health systems in the United States.
