About this role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for its practice-based clinic at 151 Victoria Commons Blvd in DeLand, Florida. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation - Assist with minor procedures, initiate diagnostic testing, and document results in the designated clinical system - Administer medications, collect labs, and support closure of care gaps during patient visits - Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions with clear, accurate communication - Maintain OSHA compliance, safety protocols, and organizational policy adherence - Monitor and manage medical supply inventory and ensure equipment is functional ### What we're looking for - Active certification as CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related clinical work experience (preferred) - Proficiency with medical terminology and chronic disease management concepts - Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced environment ### What's included - Pay range: $17.11–$27.38/hour ($35,589–$56,950 annualized) - Up to $2,500 sign-on bonus - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance from Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health and whole-person well-being resources ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating across multiple states, with a clinical mission centered on treating patients in body, mind, and spirit.
