About this role

A Certified Medical Assistant supports a busy Rheumatology clinic at AdventHealth in Hendersonville, North Carolina. ### What you'll do - Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation - Assist with minor procedures specific to rheumatology and document results accurately at the time of service - Administer medications, initiate testing, and coordinate closure of care gaps during patient visits - Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions in a clear and accurate manner - Maintain OSHA compliance, safety processes, and confidentiality of patient and employee information - Monitor supply inventory and ensure medical equipment is functioning and adequately stocked ### What we're looking for - Active certification as CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA (one required) - Current BLS/CPR certification - High school diploma or equivalent - 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred) - Proficiency with medical terminology, chronic disease management concepts, and EHR/computer systems - Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced clinical environment ### What's included - Pay range: $16.42–$26.27/hour (~$34,154–$54,642 annually) - Sign-on bonus up to $5,000 - Relocation bonus up to $5,000 - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One and 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - 403(b) retirement plan ### About the practice AdventHealth is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system operating clinics and hospitals across multiple states. This Rheumatology position is based at 50 Hospital Drive, Hendersonville, NC, on a Monday–Thursday 8 am–5 pm and Friday 8 am–12 pm schedule. The team emphasizes whole-person care and clinical excellence within an outpatient specialty setting.
