About this role
A Patient Care Technician (PCT) role on the Med Surg unit at AdventHealth Redmond in Rome, Georgia, supporting bedside patient care on a 3×12-hour day shift schedule.
### What you'll do
- Perform treatments per policy, delivering age-, mobility-, acuity-, and culture-appropriate patient care on a Med Surg unit
- Respond appropriately in clinical emergencies alongside the nursing team
- Follow isolation protocols, use personal protective equipment correctly, and enforce safety and hand-hygiene standards
- Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in practice changes driven by performance data
- Maintain and continuously upgrade clinical skills through ongoing learning
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Active BLS/CPR certification (required)
- One of the following active credentials: CNA, CPCT/A, or EMT (required)
- Prior PCT experience in an acute care setting (preferred)
- Background as a unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent bedside experience (preferred)
