A Certified Medical Assistant (Practice-Based) role at AdventHealth in Winter Haven, Florida, supporting ambulatory clinic operations across a faith-based health system.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, and medication reconciliation
- Administer medications, collect labs, initiate diagnostic testing, and document results in the designated EHR
- Assist providers with minor procedures and ensure accurate point-of-service documentation
- Educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions in a clear, accurate manner
- Monitor and manage clinical inventory and ensure medical equipment is functional and available
- Travel as needed to support staffing needs across clinic locations
### What we're looking for
- Active certification as CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, CMAC, or NRCMA (one required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- 1+ year of related medical assistant experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with computers and electronic health record systems
- Ability to work independently within certification scope in a fast-paced clinical environment
