A Certified Medical Assistant (Practice-Based) at AdventHealth supports outpatient clinic operations in Winter Haven, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Perform clinical intake including vital signs, history taking, screenings, medication reconciliation, and care-gap closure
- Assist with minor procedures, initiate diagnostic testing, and document results accurately in the EMR at time of service
- Administer medications and educate patients on tests, medications, and dietary instructions
- Maintain OSHA compliance, safety processes, and organizational policy adherence
- Monitor and manage inventory of supplies and medical equipment to ensure clinic readiness
- Travel as needed to support staffing needs across clinic locations
### What we're looking for
- Active CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA certification (one required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of medical terminology and chronic disease management
- 1+ year of related clinical experience (preferred)
- Proficiency with computers and EMR systems; ability to communicate effectively in English
