A Certified Medical Assistant role at AdventHealth supporting daily clinical operations at the 500 E Central Ave clinic in Winter Haven, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, document visit reasons, patient history, and allergies following nursing protocols
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens; audit ordered tests to ensure timely receipt and follow-up of results
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures while maintaining open communication for quality care
- Monitor nursing supplies and equipment functionality, reporting maintenance needs to leadership
- Serve as the point of contact for daily clinic operations, resolving issues or escalating as needed
- Delegate duties to office staff and ensure adherence to clinic quality, regulatory, billing, and customer service standards
### What we're looking for
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Active certification as CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- 1+ year of related medical assistant work experience preferred
- Proficiency in vital signs, body substance isolation, and specimen collection
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
