AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares, Florida is hiring a part-time Food Service Aide to support patient dining services on a day/weekend shift.
### What you'll do
- Guide patients through meal ordering using a computerized diet office system, ensuring selections align with prescribed therapeutic diets.
- Verify patient identifiers at delivery, confirm tray accuracy, and ensure patients have everything they need before leaving the room.
- Round on patients and nursing staff to identify and resolve foodservice concerns, implementing service recovery to improve patient experience scores.
- Assemble and deliver meal trays according to therapeutic diet guidelines and presentation standards across all patient areas.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment while performing physically active duties including extended walking and standing during up to 12-hour shifts.
### What we're looking for
- Ability to communicate professionally and efficiently with patients and staff, in person and by phone.
- Proficiency with common software applications and devices such as iPads and ToughBooks.
- 2+ years of experience in the food service industry (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Food Handler Certificate or Certified Food Safety Manager certification (preferred or as required by state).
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
