Certified Medical Assistant

A Certified Medical Assistant joins AdventHealth's Well 65+ primary care clinic in Winter Garden, Florida, serving an older adult membership population on a full-time, Monday–Friday day schedule. ### What you'll do - Educate members on their care team and coordinate care across the continuum, including scheduling appointments and referrals. - Support daily clinic operations by answering phones, assisting with front-desk inquiries, and maintaining the clinical space. - Perform initial health screens and intake for new members, obtaining and reviewing prior medical records to build a comprehensive patient history. - Identify care gaps, order necessary screening tests, confirm appointments, and provide patient instructions. - Conduct pre-visit RAF reviews, welcome new members with practice tours and welcome packets, and ensure all records are available for each visit. - Collaborate with the RN Case Manager and Provider to support each member's full care plan. ### What we're looking for - Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Technical/Vocational School). - Active CMA, CMAC, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or NRCMA certification required. - Current BLS/CPR certification required. - Knowledge of chronic disease management and care-gap identification. - Demonstrated ability to navigate complex healthcare systems and advocate for patients. - Empathetic communicator with strong patient-service orientation; new graduates considered. ### What's included - Hourly pay range of $17.11–$27.38 (~$35,589–$56,950 annualized). - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One. - Paid time off from Day One and four weeks of 100% paid parental leave. - 403(b) retirement plan. - Career development programs and whole-person well-being resources. - Mental health support and pet benefits. ### About the practice AdventHealth Well 65+ in Winter Garden is a dedicated primary care practice designed specifically for adults 65 and older, offering a high-touch, membership-based model focused on comprehensive chronic disease management and preventive care.
