About this role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time Front Office Assistant for its physician office clinic in North Port, Florida. ### What you'll do - Greet patients and visitors, verify identification, and room patients while obtaining and recording vital signs - Schedule, confirm, and follow up on patient appointments including rescheduled, canceled, or no-show visits - Answer patient messages, return calls in a timely manner, and direct incoming phone traffic - Collect copays and patient balances, post charges and payments, and maintain current insurance information - Ensure patient paperwork is completed and uploaded accurately into the electronic health record (EHR) - Cross-train for front and back office duties and serve as backup Surgery Scheduler ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a recognized medical assistant or nursing assistant program required - Active certification as CMA, CMAC, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA required - Medical terminology knowledge required - 1+ year of clinical experience in a physician office or healthcare-related environment preferred - Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and address age-appropriate communication and safety considerations ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $17.63–$28.20 ($36,670–$58,656 annualized) - Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance effective Day One - Paid time off from Day One - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources, whole-person well-being programs, and pet benefits ### About the practice AdventHealth operates a multi-location outpatient physician office practice along the Tamiami Trail corridor in North Port, FL, part of a large faith-based health system serving communities across the southeastern United States.
