About this role
AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach is hiring a full-time PCT / Health Unit Coordinator / Monitor Technician for night shift at its inpatient facility in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
### What you'll do
- Deliver direct patient care including hygiene, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional support under RN supervision.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously, recognize life-threatening arrhythmias, and notify the registered nurse immediately; ensure the central monitor station is never left unattended.
- Document vital signs, intake/output, nutritional intake, weights, and personal hygiene findings, reporting promptly to the RN.
- Maintain EKG records in an organized manner and file EKG reports to patient charts as needed.
- Manage telemetry supply inventory, ensuring appropriate stock levels at all times.
- Use computer systems to access and exchange patient data, maintain records, and input daily charges.
### What we're looking for
- Minimum 1 year of applicable PCT experience (required).
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical or vocational school training (preferred).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (required).
- CNA, CPCT/A, EMT, CRAT, or CHUC certification (preferred).
- Previous telemetry monitoring or nursing unit secretary experience (preferred).
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and keyboarding; ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
