A PRN RN role at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth's Pain Management Clinic in Hinsdale, Illinois, supporting procedural pain care on a day-shift, Monday–Friday schedule.
### What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments covering physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and lifestyle factors prior to pain procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions throughout each encounter.
- Develop, implement, and continuously revise individualized care plans aligned with patient needs and standards of care.
- Educate patients and families on pain conditions, procedures, medications, and self-care strategies to support compliance and recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians and ancillary staff to coordinate procedural workflows and optimize patient throughput.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record.
### What we're looking for
- Active RN license in Illinois (required).
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- BLS/CPR certification (required); CCNS certification (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital experience (preferred).
- Pain management experience is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in EKG interpretation per unit requirements and basic computer skills including Microsoft Windows-based applications.
### What's included
- Pay range: $33.60–$56.52/hour ($69,888–$117,562 annualized at 2,080 hours).
- PRN/per-diem schedule with day shifts, Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm.
