Patient Care Technician Float Pool

A Patient Care Technician in the Float Pool at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth supports inpatient nursing teams across units at AdventHealth Bolingbrook in Bolingbrook, Illinois. ### What you'll do - Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living at the bedside - Monitor and report changes in patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff - Aid with safe patient movement, positioning, and transport - Maintain clean, orderly patient rooms and ensure proper functioning of medical equipment - Document patient care records accurately and in a timely manner - Serve as a Patient Sitter as assigned, ensuring continuous patient observation and safety ### What we're looking for - High school diploma or GED required - Minimum 1 year of PCT or equivalent acute-care bedside experience - Active BLS/CPR certification required - One of the following required: CPCT/A, CNA, or EMT certification - Ability to work 36 hours per week on night shift (7:00 pm–7:30 am) with rotating weekends and holidays - Effective communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members ### What's included - Hourly pay range: $17.17–$27.46 (approximately $35,714–$57,117 annualized) - Medical, dental, and vision insurance effective day one - Paid time off from day one - 403(b) retirement plan - 4 weeks of 100% paid parental leave - Mental health resources and whole-person well-being support ### About the practice UChicago Medicine AdventHealth is a faith-based health system committed to whole-person care in body, mind, and spirit.
